Keep Praying Throughout the Day
You control how your circumstances and other people effect you. It took me a long time to learn this, and for a long time I didn't know what this meant. I had heard it before, but there's a difference between hearing and actually learning something. You can know something consciously, although you don't actually know it until you practice what you've heard.
One day, I felt frustrated and anxious; I didn't want to have my entire day taken up by anxiety and frustration. I prayed throughout the day, seeking guidance. I felt the Holy Spirit reminding me of God's word and of my new years resolutions/guidelines. (I have 20 in total, though 13 out of 20 are spiritual guidelines that I want to live by throughout the year.)
Later, as I wrote in my journal, I felt empowered to control my internal peace. I was reminded that other people don't control me, I control my reaction to my environment. The Holy Spirit reminded me to leave the past and focus on the new. New year; growing me. With God's help, as I relied on Him, I stayed at peace and chose to not let the situation get to me.
While you can't control circumstances, you can control your response. Trust and rely on God throughout the day. Keep praying, as He hears your prayers (silent and spoken)
Verse of the Day:
Philippians 4:6 ESV, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
